The committee recommended that legislators consider allowing residents of legal medical cannabis states to use it in Kansas and suggested that the state study Ohio’s medical marijuana program.

So,the Ad Hoc Committee on Federal and State Affairs recommends that: Kansas legislators take the first steps towards medical cannabis legislation .

Also,the legislative committee recommended on October 30 that legislators consider allowing medical cannabis patients registered in other states to use their medical cannabis products in Kansas. Although Kansas residents are not allowed to use medical cannabis obtained in other states. According to a local channel WDAF-TV report.

The committee also recommended that Kansas review Ohio’s medical cannabis program, which limits patients to a 90-day supply of products and prohibits smoking cannabis, according to the media.

Indeed,the 2020 Kansas legislative session will begin in January and legislators should address the new legislation on cannabis policy reform, although past attempts have all failed in the face of strong state opposition.

Therefore,This year’s reform attempt, a bill on medical cannabis, was never elected by a committee to the House.
