Children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) – characterized by learning, communication and sociability difficulties as well as compulsive and repetitive behaviors – are increasing in number around the world.
CBD treatment and results:
several studies had already shown that CBD has positive effects on autistic children. it reduces stress, violent behavior, anxiety symptoms and improves the communication skills of a significant number of patients.
Patients were given cannabis oil containing 30% CBD and 1.5% THC at different doses (sometimes one drop of oil three times a day, sometimes 20 drops of oil three times a day).
After six months, 21.5% patients were able to dress alone. CBD treatment allowed about 1/3 of children to reduce or stop using other drugs. 11 patients even stopped taking any other medication.
the conclusion is clear: Cannabis in patients with ASD appears to be a well-tolerated, safe and effective option for the relief of associated symptoms.
CBD must be recognized as a viable drug for the treatment of autistic disorders.
