There are many cannabinoids with restorative properties that have not really been explored in the past. Here are five of the most promising for the new year.

With all the buzz around CBD and THC, it’s not surprising that most people forget or don’t know that there are hundreds of other cannabinoids that are also part of the cannabis plant. These minor compounds have been associated with many benefits that distinguish them from CBD and THC.

CBD has many restorative properties that have led to its inclusion in hundreds of products. But one of the main reasons why the cannabinoid has been so successful is that it is the easiest and cheapest compound to extract and refine, which has earned it the greatest scientific attention and interest.

Other cannabinoids with curative properties, such as CBG and CBN, are known as minor cannabinoids and are not as influential since their effects have not yet been explored. They are generally famous only to people working in the cannabis industry, but they are very promising in their way, having shown promising signs in other areas. Many of the benefits these compounds produce are not sharable by CBD or THC.

Basically , with a growing understanding of the cannabis plant and the development of new technologies, many scientists and cannabis experts have begun to publicize these new compounds and their capabilities.

Here are some of the most promising cannabinoids for the coming year:

CBN (Cannabinol)

Cannabinol is famous for 2 main characteristics: it has a powerful sedative effect and it is also mildly psychoactive. This compound is a by-product of THC and is found in small amounts in most cannabis varieties. You can find it in edibles, topical, sublingual, vape cartridges and more. It is also interesting to note that CBN was the first cannabinoid to be identified and prove to be responsible for the effect of THC.

CBG (Cannabigerol)

In fact , Cannabigerol is one of the pioneering substances identified and described as the  “stem cell” of all cannabinoids. “We know that CBG shows promise as an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agent,” John Huemoeller, CEO of AXIM Biotechnologies, told Forbes. CBG is also associable with mood enhancement, neuroprotective action and possibly in the fight against Huntington’s disease and cancer cells.

THCV (Tetrahydrocannabivarin)

Similar in structure to THC, THCV produces some psychoactive effects but also beneficial for appetite suppression, diabetes control, reducing panic attacks and stimulating bone growth. It is also associable with the management of some of the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease.

CBC (Cannabichromene)

The CBC has in fact , many benefits for well-being. It fights bacteria, fight migraines and stimulate brain growth. It has analgesic effects, antidepressant properties, and antiviral effects.

CBDV (Cannabidivarin)

Like CBD, CBDV has also been associable with seizure reduction, anti-inflammatory properties, and nausea management.
